What does winning this title mean to you?
Thank you so much. It's very special to take a victory on the first tournament of the year. This is one of the highest honors of my life to take home the Australian open trophy and the FTL prize. It took many late nights and a countless number of hours to finally decide on my picks for this tournament, and I can't believe it paid off.

What were the keys to your title run?
I would say the biggest key to winning the Australian Open for me was my post holiday preparation. Once the Christmas food and the new years celebrating was over I knew I had to get my mind in tennis mode and start focusing on what's truly important...FTL.

How does it feel to be the current #1 in this year's FTL standings?
The feeling of being #1 is truly an amazing feeling, it is one of the best feelings of my career. I would like to thank the tournament director and staff for making this a world class event. The ball boys and girls for all their hard work and the umpires and lines judges for being on the top of their game throughout the whole tournament. Also a special thanks to the FTL commissioner.
