In a stirring three-set victory, Mickey Mouse wins the first ever Midwest Sports Charity Open, defeating Smurfette, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1. Mickey's only hiccup was a brief mental lapse in the second set when he was broken at 15 to help Smurfette take the grass set. Otherwise, it was a perfect serving day for Mickey, who served lights out the entire tournament to help him win the title.
As a result of Mickey Mouse's championship victory, FTL will proudly donate $20 to the Nebraska Humane Society. Be sure to check them out and all of the other wonderful charities participating in this year's Midwest Sports Charity Open! Thanks to all the FTLers who made this event a huge success.
But there's no time for rest! Season Blue is just around the corner! FTL is transitioning to the summer hard court season, and we'll be kicking things off in Canada. The main draws should be released next weekend, so start studying, FTLers!
