Long-Term Deals Continue on Busy Weekend

BREAKING NEWS: Jeff Langlais (owner of team JL) has agreed to a 10-year extension with FTL, making this the longest multi-year contract in FTL history. Details of the arrangement were not immediately available. Nevertheless, the move is already generating considerable buzz. "In terms of historic deals, this one ranks right at the top," argued sports business analyst, Darren Rovell. "Yesterday, FTL landed its Babe Ruth. Now they get their Roger Maris."

And the league may not be done. It is widely expected that FTL will continue to make splash moves during the weeks leading up to the first event on their 2018 calendar, the Australian Open. "When we look back on this a few years from now, what we'll see is that [Jeremy] Freese introduced a business model that ended up being replicated all across the league, if not the entire fantasy sports landscape. Look for others to imitate the Freese-Langlais model," said Rovell.
