The Friday night session gave us a very different match, as local favorite Denis Shapovalov (a wildcard at this event) takes on Adrian Mannarino in the quarterfinals. While neither has the star power of Rafael Nadal, we were treated to a much closer and more exciting match, as Shapo wins in a third-set tiebreak.
