Reactions from the Rapping Professor

Many FTL champions go to Disney World to celebrate their victory. Matthew, however, opted for Bali, where I caught up with him earlier today at his favorite restaurant, Warung Nia, to get his reactions to winning Wimbledon. FTLers will not be disappointed to learn that his answers were rapped to me in the style of Young MC's Bust a Move.

How does it feel to win your first FTL title at Wimbledon, the biggest stage in professional tennis?

Me and my team, we've been working really hard.
It's like a dream winning Wimbledon on the grass yard!

My first FTL crown, not to mention Grand Slam,
I nearly fell down, that's how flummoxed I am!

I thought I'd done well at the previous tourney,
But ended with a bad smell, that's the FTL journey!

This is considered a breakthrough tournament for Raonic, and you had him weighted at the top. What led you to take a chance on him, especially since he was in Djokovic's quarter?

At Wimby, I figured I was nixed and near the bottom, no doubt.
When all my ladies picks save Serena early went out!

Clearly it was Milos the Canuck who turned out to be my savior.
A major coup for Canadian tennis he struck with his determined behaviour.

Why did I place him first among my four men's picks, you ask?
My answer's unrehearsed, and explaining not an easy task.

Rob rightly pointed out that Milos was in Djokovich's quarter.
Did my choice presage some kind of new tennis world order?!

Not really. For one of my ignorance's greatest perqs
Is that I have very little idea how our weighting system works!!

You are now 5th in the overall standings. How do you feel about your chances of winning the 2016 FTL Championship?

Now standing fifth overall, though I missed one tourney deadline,
Can I possibly have the gall to see myself ending up first by design?!

Not really. I mean, I may possess the instinctive tools.
However, I do confess it might help if I go back and read the rules!!

I'll take it one tourney at a time, can't just hit it right out of the park.
The next hill I need to climb, in current fourth place...is Rob Clark.
