Scandal!

The start of FTL 2016 has been marred by reports of a match-fixing scandal in the world of professional tennis.  While FTL has no official comment at this moment, it is worthwhile to point out that two-time defending FTL Champion Jeremy Freese actually predicted this in my October 2014 interview with him:

Within 5-10 years: there will be an enormous match-fixing scandal in tennis, requiring mass recalculation of FTL results over the years.

To fulfill the second half of Jeremy's prediction, FTL will be forming a blue-ribbon panel to investigate possible connections between FTLers, Russian mobsters, and tennis stars that are implicated in the scandal.  We look forward to reporting the results of our investigation when they become available.

In the meantime, rumors that Midwest Sports has severed partnership ties with FTL are wholly unfounded.  Midwest Sports remains the proud official sponsor of FTL.
