Midwest Sports Charity Open

Hey, FTLers.

It's time for the 2015 Midwest Sports Charity Open!  It's FREE to all current FTL members, it's easy to play, and it's all for charity.  Just sponsor one of the players competing at this year's Midwest Sports Charity Open.  If your player wins the tournament, FTL will make a donation to the charity of YOUR choice!

Tournament Format
This year's event is a 16-player single elimination tournament.  Each match follows a best-of-three sets format.  The first set is played on clay, second set on grass, and third set on a hard court (if necessary).  And the main draw has just been released!  Here it is:

#1 Bugs Bunny vs. #16 Charlie Brown
#8 Tasmanian Devil vs. #9 Scooby-Doo

#4 Woody Woodpecker vs. #13 Homer Simpson
#5 Smurfette vs. #12 Dilbert

#2 Popeye vs. #15 Swedish Chef
#7 Big Bird vs. #10 Kool-Aid Man

#3 Snoopy vs. #14 Ziggy
#6 Mickey Mouse vs. #11 Spongebob Squarepants

Donation Schedule
The lower a player's seed, the more FTL will donate to your charity if that player wins the tournament.

Seed Donation
#1-2 $10
#3-4 $15
#5-6 $20
#7-8 $25
#9-10 $30
#11-12 $35
#13-14 $40
#15-16 $50

Sponsorship Info
So who do you want to sponsor?  Wait!  Before answering that, check out each player's profile to study their strengths and weaknesses (see adjacent blog posts).  The outcome of every point of every match will be determined by a weighted algorithm based on each player's serve, return, and surface ratings.

The tournament starts next Monday (July 27th).  Email me your sponsorship request by this Sunday (July 26th).  One sponsor per player, one player per sponsor.  Sponsorships will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.  Okay, let's do this!  Send me the name of the player you'd like to sponsor and the name of your charity, and you're all set!
